Wow, I really appreciate your feedback I only use a mechanical pencil if I make a sketch or free-hand drawing, like this one. They're more precise than a regular grade pencil. Seriously though, I whipped up this drawing in 1hr knowing I needed to update my page so friends knew I was still active on dA.. That's why it looks less and less cared for as you look past the head.
I never thought I'd get much attention with this piece. Which is why I really should finish it.
they do say artists are their own worst critics..something along those lines. And I am one of those artists, but you're very correct. I need to be more proud about what I make and enjoy drawing it in the process. Thanks
It would have been awesome if the fight was more cramped, like the first T-Rex encounter in Dino Crisis or the Alien Queen battle in Marine Mission 6 of AvP Gold. Samus would then have to use Morph Ball to go under the floor, as the Omega Metroid claws through the grating. That would have made the player feel as if he was caught in the corner and the Metroid wouldn't have to artificially back away to make the fight more fair.
See, when I saw your other versions, of Mother Brain and our good friend Ridley, I thought I'd seen the creepiest you have to offer. This is Murphy's Law. I'm never right.
This is so freaking sick! The eyes are hard to stare into, because this thing is so bad ass and formidable. This makes me seriously think about how the hell Samus ever brought these baddies down. I mean, your depiction of them make them look the complete opposite of mortal. Wow. Just...wow.
This is effin' incredible!!!! Your take on the Omega looks so realistic it's insane... I have been trying for YEARS to make a good Omega and they all come out looking as awkward as the Metroid II's instruction book art of them... You on the other hand really outshowed me here, I love how the teeth turned out and I especially like his frayed tongue that really adds a lotta character!
